I have had a lifelong passion for woodworking which has led me almost the entire length of Delaware and into Maryland and Pennsylvania as well as from practically the beginning of the recorded history up to the late 70's in search of woodworking skills. Mostly, to earn a living but also to just see and experience the development and practice of the art. The main purpose of this blog site is to convey my own understanding and know-how, primarily with traditional green woodworking. Some of these basic skill sets are what made the earliest development of habitable areas more comfortable with a minimum of tools being carried in while using localized materials. Also, with the pole lathe, more advanced -though still rudimentary- pieces of furniture can be constructed as well as domestic implements for dining and agriculture.
